CM/ECF Registration and Training
In order to register for electronic filing in the US Bankruptcy Court-Eastern District of Washington, you must either be a registered CM/ECF filer in another court. Or, you need to complete ECF training.
If you are a registered CM/ECF filer in another court, you will need to fill out an ECF Registration Form for our court. The forms are available under the Forms link of our website. They are Local Forms AD60 for Attorneys and AD60A for Claims Filers. Your login and password that you have with another court will not work for this court's ECF system. There is an email address on the form that you will send the completed form to. If you have questions, please contact the Training Coordinator or call 509-353-2404 x212.
If you have not electronically filed before, see the steps below:
Step 1. Verify that you meet the basic requirements to use the Electronic Case Filing system.
  • Must have Internet access - Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.
  • Must have the ability to create PDF documents. There are many programs which do this and you should research the one that will work best for you.
  • Step 2. Complete training. The training sessions vary in length for each type of filer.
  • For Proof of Claim filers and Creditor Attorneys, training is provided online, please click here to access the Interactive ECF Training page.
  • For Debtor Attorneys and staff, please contact the Training Coordinator or call 509-353-2404 x212 to schedule training. Classroom training is available in either Spokane or Yakima and is set up on an as-needed basis.
  • Step 3. After completing training, submit the Registration form to the email address given on the form. You will be assigned a login and password and it will be sent to you via the email address(es) you provide on the form. If you have questions about your registration status, please contact the ECF Registration desk or call 509-353-2404 x211.
  • Note to Attorneys and their staff - only attorneys are given logins and passwords. You may request more than one login and password.
