PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO LOCAL BANKRUPTCY RULES -- NOTICE AND OPPORTUNITY FOR COMMENT - The Court's Advisory Committee has recommended amendments to the following local bankruptcy rules: 2083-1(p)(2)(A), 4001-2(a)(1)(A), (a)(2), (a)(3)(d), 4008-1(a), 5001-2(b), 6004-1(c), 9010-1(b)(5)(A) and (C), and 9018-1(d).
Each of the rules, with proposed amendments, are available by clicking on the link above. Please send comments to localrulecomments@waeb.uscourts.gov or to Clerk of Court, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, P.O. Box 2164, Spokane, WA 99210-2164 no later than August 18, 2008.
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ECF, PACER, AND VCIS USERS - The following programs will not be available from 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 25, to 8:00 a.m. Monday, July 28: ECF (Electronic Case Filing), PACER (Public Access to Court Electronic Records), and VCIS (Voice Case Information System). For information regarding the filing of documents during this time, please see LBR 5001-2(b).
Redaction Required - FRBP 9037 requires redaction of certain information in electronic and paper filings with the court.

CM/ECF v3.2 - The new version of CM/ECF has been installed. Some changes you will see include:
1) Transcripts and Transcription Redaction;
2) Cascading Menus;
3) Searches to Menus and Events;
4) Amended Claims Docketing;
5) PDF Headers;
6) View Multiple Documents;
7) Create Appendix; and
8) Judgment Index.

Transcripts - In September 2007, the Judicial Conference adopted a policy regarding the electronic availability of transcripts. Transcripts will no longer be made available for viewing on PACER until ninety (90) days from the date of the filing of the transcript. Any person requiring a copy of the transcript before then may purchase a copy from the transcriber or view the document at the clerk’s office public terminal.
The redaction policy of personal identifier information in a transcript is also in effect. Personal identifiers to be redacted are social security numbers, names of minor children, financial account numbers and dates of birth. The process to redact information in a transcript is included in the Judicial Conference Policy on Privacy and Public Access to Electronic Case Files.
Chapter 13 Plan - A slight modification has been made to the Chapter 13 Plan. In Paragraph III.A.4.a Secured Claims, the column heading “Collateral Value” has been changed to “Secured Claim”.
