Chapter 13 Trustee's Office – Employment Opportunity

The Spokane Chapter 13 Trustee's Office administers bankruptcy plans that are filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court under Chapter 13. The office is seeking a Staff Attorney with bankruptcy experience. Duties include representing the Trustee at confirmation hearings, hearings on motions, meetings of creditors and adversary proceedings. Also reviewing Chapter 13 plans for compliance with the United States Bankruptcy Code, as well as the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure and the Eastern District of Washington Local Bankruptcy Rules. Review, analyze and prepare modifications and objections to plans and prepare pleadings and briefs for filing at both the trial court and appellate court level. Also negotiate with debtor and creditor counsel to resolve objections to confirmation or motions to dismiss. JD from accredited institution and admission to the WSBA required.
