Amendment to Local Bankruptcy Rule - Notice and Opportunity for Comment
- Local Rule 1006-1, Waiver of Filing Fee, has been amended by General Order 09-04 and is effective immediately. The order and a redline version of the rule can be accessed here.

Important Notice Regarding Time Period Changes Effective December 1, 2009, Including 14-Day Deadlines for Filing Schedules, Statements, Chapter 13 Plans, and Bankruptcy Appellate Briefs
- Among the time computation amendments to the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure that will take effect on December 1, 2009, are changes to 12 rules that will result in a reduction by one day (from 15 to 14 days) of the time to take action.

- Meetings of Creditors scheduled during November and thereafter, for debtors who reside in Kittitas, Klickitat,
and Yakima counties will be held at the Red Lion Hotel Yakima Center, 607 East Yakima Ave., Yakima, WA, 98901.

New and Amended Local Rules
- Several local rules have been amended and one new rule regarding Waiver of Filing Fee has been adopted. A redline version
of the changes may be accessed by clicking here and scrolling down to "Redline
versions of the Local Rules amended by General Order 09-03." LBR 1006-1, LBR 2002-1, LBR 2014-1 and LBR 7016-1 are effective
September 15, 2009. The remainder of the Local Rules amended by General Order 09-03 are effective December 1, 2009.

Electronic Filing Scanner Setting Requirements
- The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts has been working with the
National Archives and Records Administration regarding archival preservation and continued use of the scanned images in the Judiciary's
CM/ECF system. Current recommendations are for scanner settings of 300 pixels per inch (ppi) or higher in order to produce a
high quality document. The court has updated the document Administrative Procedures for Electronic Filing, Signing, and
Verification of Documents to reflect current recommendations. Access to the document may be obtained by clicking
