The Judicial Conference Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure has approved for publication for public comment the following proposed amendments to existing rules and forms, as well as one new rule: Appellate Rules 32, 35, 40, and Appendix on Length Limits, Bankruptcy Restyled Rules Parts VII to XI, Rules 1007, 4004, 5009, 7001, 9006, and proposed new Rule 8023.1 and well as Official Bankruptcy Form 410A, Civil Rule 12, and Evidence Rules 611, 613, 801, 804, and 1006. The proposed amendments and forms are available on the U.S. Courts website and may be accessed here. The public comment period is open from August 15, 2022 to February 16, 2023.
