Registry Funds
Registry funds are those funds submitted by outside parties for the court to hold pending resolution of litigation or determination of ownership. The court acts as custodian of these funds. Once the court resolves the pending litigation or determines ownership, the funds are released to the rightful owner or recipient by court order.
A court order signed by the presiding judge in the case or proceeding is required before money can be sent to the court for deposit in the registry.
